"A small planet somewhere in the vicinity of Betelgeuse" is a line from what is undoubtedly one of the most famous and well-loved science fiction series in the history of well....ever. I am of course talking about The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. It's an endlessly amusing trek through the galaxy which I happen to have read many times over (and enjoyed each read as much as the last), not to mention growing up with the tapes from the original radio programme always being a bedtime favourite for my brother and I.
This sentence always brings with it a pang of nostalgia for my childhood, and when creating a blog it was this line that popped into my head (I don't doubt it's because I am currently reading the series for the billionth time) when I reached the frustrating task of choosing a title. I liked it instantly and I was happy with the way the words flowed when read out loud. I decided that I may as well roll with it, and roll with it I did. Although, how relevant this title is to the actual content that will be posted on here is debatable.
"But Braiding," I hear you cry, "what exactly are you going to post about?"
Good question, Timmy! This actually leads me rather smoothly onto my next point.
What am I writing about? I'm sorry to say that there is no clear theme for this blog. The best I can give you at this point is a vague idea of what you may or may not see in the near future. The next post I am planning to write will actually be about Hitchhiker's Guide, just for all of you out there who happen ignorant to it's glory. After that you can likely expect more posts about books I am reading, video games I am playing, art projects that I am starting or just anything that I find awesome enough to warrant temporarily interrupting my life of hedonistic laziness for. To conclude this awkward and poorly written ramble, I ask of thee the simple task of commenting and following so that I may thank you for sticking around long enough to make it to this point. It would be much appreciated and probably be good personal motivation to stick to something I started for longer than a day.
Until I can actually be bothered to post again,
Live long and prosper, friends.
